Altrad increases service offerings with the acquisition of Ausgroup
Altrad is pleased to announce the acquisition of Western Australia based fabrication, construction, and maintenance services entity AusGroup Companies Pty Ltd (AusGroup)– including AGC Industries and MAS Australasia – and related subsidiaries.
The acquisition is a strategic continuation of Altrad’s growth strategy of an expanded service offering and physical footprint across Australia and follows the purchase in 2021 of Perth-based leading energy, infrastructure and asset services group Valmec Limited, which has been an outstanding success.
AusGroup has offices throughout Western Australia and provides a range of fabrication, access, construction and maintenance services to the energy, resources, industrial and utilities sectors. Its specialist services include integrated maintenance, construction and fabrication, mechanical, scaffolding and rope access, industrial insulation, painting and fireproofing, electrical and instrumentation and specialist welding.
The transaction will see Altrad supporting the continuation of all existing AusGroup entity contracts and is delighted to welcome over 1,000 new employees to its Australian Group whilst also preserving 100% of their accumulated employee entitlements.
Altrad’s multidisciplinary services support the full lifecycle of its clients’ assets from construction and commissioning, through maintenance and operations to life extension and decommissioning solutions. Altrad has operated in Australia for over 40 years and currently employs around 2,000 highly skilled men and women across the country.
