Chevron 502 TA – Integrated Maintenance

Project Overview:

The Chevron 502 Turnaround project was the second planned maintenance turnaround for LNG upstream and downstream assets in Northwest Western Australia. As the Primary Maintenance Contractor (PMC), Altrad (formerly AusGroup) executed comprehensive event management, planning, and scheduling. The project focused on enhancing operational performance while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality, leveraging multi-disciplinary expertise to complete the turnaround successfully.

Scope:

  • Planning and scheduling of event management.
  • Preparation of 1,391 job packs, including permits and isolations.
  • Execution of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation tasks.
  • Painting, insulation, and fireproofing services.
  • Scaffolding, lifting, and rigging operations.
  • Materials and resource supply.
  • Quality control and completions activities.

Manning:

  • Peak Manning : 922 (825 Downstream, 97 Upstream)
  • Total Manhours: >150,000

Outcomes:

  • Safely completed the project with zero Days Away From Work (DAFW) and zero Loss of Containment incidents (Tier 1, 2, or 3).
  • Delivered all scope elements on schedule and within budget.
  • Reinforced Altrads ability to manage complex LNG maintenance projects with exceptional safety and quality performance.
