Blacktip Offshore Manning

Project Overview:

The Blacktip Development Project, located 110 km off Australia’s northern coast in the Timor Sea’s Bonaparte Basin, involved the installation of the Wellhead Platform and Jacket. Altrad (formerly AGC) provided offshore manning and management services to support the pipelay and platform installation aboard Saipem’s vessel Castoro Otto. The scope was later expanded to include hook-up and pre-commissioning activities aboard the Ocean Shields drilling rig. Despite logistical and environmental challenges, including cyclonic weather, the project was completed successfully without industrial disputes.
